This year, Giving Tuesday is on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Giving Tuesday is a campaign created and shared through web and social media to encourage online giving to nonprofits. Our goal is to encourage Catholics around the diocese to give back to Catholic parishes, schools, and diocesan ministries in place of their favorite secular nonprofits. To unite these efforts, the diocese will be using the hashtag #GiveCatholicWM. Your parishioners will be able to donate here: bitly.com/givecatholicwm (the webpage will be live on Giving Tuesday). The diocese will not charge credit card fees which means that 100% of the funds donated to each parish, school, or diocesan ministry goes to the mission. We thank you for considering our parish should you choose to donate on this day.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of longtime parishioner, Berna Rouhan. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

Today, there is a grave threat to women and children in our State. It is the proposed
"Reproductive Freedom for All" constitutional amendment.
This proposed amendment will be on our ballots this fall. It seeks the approval of the people of
this state to amend the State Constitution to include a so-called “right to abortion,” but it is
much more extreme than that.
It could:
 Allow abortion up until birth
 Allow minors to pursue abortions and sterilization without parental notification or
consent
 Exempt abortion facilities from safety regulation
 Allow anyone to perform an abortion, even if they don’t have a medical license
 Repeal or drastically alter dozens of state laws
Governor Whitmer has repeatedly said, both she and her allies in the pro-abortion lobby will,
quote, “fight like hell” to ensure abortion is legal in Michigan.
In addition to voting NO, we must ‘Fight Like Heaven!’ to combat this proposed amendment by
employing the three great spiritual weapons of the Christian life: Prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
The Diocese of Lansing is inviting Catholics across the state to join them in a novena beginning
on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, Sept. 15. This will be 54-days of prayer, fasting and
almsgiving, concluding on election day. You can sign up for a daily text providing information
and inspiration across each of the 54 days by texting 'FightLikeHeaven' to 84576.
