The Holidays will soon be upon us. During this season there are more masses that you can and should be attending. It is sad to say, but many parishioners are unable to do just that. Illness, surgery, or just being homebound may be the reason many cannot get out and especially cannot attend Mass. This means they are not able to receive Holy Communion. During those times it is extremely important to let them know that our parish is praying for them and that they are missed. Even more important is delivering Communion to them at their home, hospital or nursing center.

To accommodate this ever increasing need, Christ the King – St. Francis de Sales will be creating an organized Homebound Ministry. Our goal is to extend the love and caring of the Body of Christ to those unable to attend Mass.

We welcome men and women from all corners of our geographical area, and no prior experience is needed, as training will be provided. All you need is a desire to serve our Lord and the ability to provide a loving and faith filled visitation to someone in need.

Please contact Father James at 231-9375757 or Laura Thebo at 231-823- 9003 to sign up or for more information.

Prayerfully consider volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. We will be having a morning of reflection on November, 3rd from 9 am – noon. If you are an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist for the sick and homebound, you should attend this gathering

The blessings you will receive can be life changing.
