This weekend, September 1 & 2, we are scheduled to take up a second collection specifically for the CSA. Due to your generosity, we have already met our goal. Therefore, the funds collected this weekend at the second collection will be deposited directly into our Building Fund account. These monies will be used to finish paying for the new roof that was installed at CTK and for the future project of repaving the parking lot at SF.

We are currently collecting school supplies for our local elementary and middle schools. There are collection boxes in both churches. Items requested include notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, erasers, markers, 2-pocket folders with fasteners, and scissors. Students are also collecting money to offset the purchase of backpacks and purchase other supplies as listed to fill each bag.

The Retreat that was scheduled to take place at St. Michael’s in Remus on Saturday, April 14, has been canceled due to impending weather. We will share the new date once it has been rescheduled.

A huge Thank You goes out to the many people who helped us celebrate Lent and the Easter season this year! Whether you decorated, donated towards altar flowers, sang in the choir, served as any type of Liturgical Minister at any of the holiday Masses, or did anything else that helped make our churches more beautiful, we are so very grateful. May your generosity come back two-fold to you.

Welcome to our newest parishioner, Evelynn Mary Powell. The daughter of Andy & Michelle Powell, Miss Evelynn was baptized on January 21, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Lakeview.

Welcome, precious little child. So divine from God above. Christened today in Jesus’ name, Held in His arms of love. May angels guide your tiny feet and bring you smiles to wear and may our Heavenly Father always keep you in His care.

Please watch the efforts of our many younger parishioners as they bring you their version of the Birth of Christ. Merry Christmas!
